a cold message

we arrived today to bern for the al maslakh festival. tomorrow we start working on the 3 exhibits (laure's, raed's and mine).
please check the news section for more info about the exhibits and a lot of concerts in belgium, switzerland and germany.

i also uploaded the last three drawings from beirut (below). the switzerland drawings are to be expected around begining of december.

Georges Khoury (Jad) talks about the history of comics in

THE ARABIC WORLD

Jad has accurate information, but i do not share his point of view when he says:
"works by arabic authors done in a foreign language cannot be counted as arabic comics"

(in french): "i think that the "arabity" of a person - and more likely of a work of art - has nothing to do with language."

to: Edward Saïd, and Samir Kassir, and Georges Chehadé, and all the others...

i could say "to Gibran Khalil Gibran" but i do not like him a lot...
