finally back in beirut
two short announcements:

1- for the 2 persons who are asking if i stopped the blog, or stopped drawing, or both, i'll upload the blog finally between wednesday and thursday. more than a month since the last update. more than 50 drawings are waiting in my notebook.

2- for those who didn't receive the email announcing it, tomorrow is the opening of a joint exhibit of laure ghorayeb's and my war drawings, plus the launch of our two books in lebanon. please pass by if you're in beirut. below is the intro text.

Mazen Kerbaj
is born in 1975
is a comics’ author
is a musician
is working and living in Beirut

Art and war(s)

During the Second World War, Laure Ghorayeb was too young to draw.

During the Lebanese civil war, Laure Ghorayeb never stopped drawing.
During the Lebanese civil war, Mazen Kerbaj discovered both war and drawing.

During the 33 days of July 06 war, Laure Ghorayeb and Mazen Kerbaj found nothing better to do than drawing.

From the 6th to the 30th of March 2007 they are showing their july war
diaries in a joint exhibition entitled From One Window, The Other at Galerie Janine Rubeiz, Raouché, Beirut.
The artists will be launching and signing their two books at the opening on the 6th of March.

Maz, le vernissage, c'est bien le 6 ? Rassure moi si tu as une minute.
Pour le vernissage, je te dis un gros "MERDE", chez nous ça porte bonheur mais il ne faut surtout pas que tu remercies !
